Welcome to the Brooklyn and Long Island Chapter of the American College of Surgeons

The Brooklyn & Long Island Chapter of the American College of Surgeons (BLIACS) was founded in 1930 and holds the Number One Charter from the College. As the largest Chapter in the State of New York, we are the local representative Chapter for the downstate Fellows. Not only providing continuing medical educational opportunities for our members, but also advocates for the Fellows in assisting in lobby efforts for the ACS.
